U.S. ambassador to Mongolia coming to Tacoma

Continuing its commitment to international affairs and local ethnic communities, the World Affairs Council of Seattle/Tacoma is hosting U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia John Dinger.

There are significant Russian and Chinese immigrant populations in the Puget Sound region. Mongolia is sandwiched between these two strategic and nuclear powers.

Ambassador Dinger is speaking on “Sandwiched Between Two Giants” during a 7:30 breakfast roundtable discussion on Friday, Jan. 31, at the World Trade Center Tacoma.

Ambassador Dinger arrived in Ulaanbaatar in November 2000. He has had many distinguished years with United States Foreign Service. He most recently served as Minister Counselor Consul General in the American Embassy in Tokyo.

Cost is $10 for members and $12 for non-members. The breakfast program will take place in Room 104 of the World Trade Center Tacoma, 3600 Port of Tacoma Rd.
