Share your ideas for Link light rail expansion in Tacoma

Sound Transit has scheduled two meetings Wednesday to discuss the future of Tacoma’s Link light rail.

Over the next year, Sound Transit will analyze alternatives for expanding the current 1.6-mile light rail line in Tacoma. Visitors to one of the two meetings scheduled this week can learn about the project background, goals and decision milestones; find out about public involvement opportunities; let Sound Transit know where Tacoma Link should expand in the future; provide input on the criteria that should be used to evaluate the options; and learn how to stay informed about the Tacoma Link expansion project.

The first meeting will be held on Weds., Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at People’s Community Center, located at 1602 South Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The second meeting will be held on Weds., Aug. 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Tacoma Dome Station Plaza, located at 424 East 25th Street.
