REQUEST FOR BIDS METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT OF TACOMA Wright Park Bridge Reconstruction BID# 2016-24 BID NOTICE The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma will receive sealed bids for Bid# J2016-24, Wright Park Bridge Reconstruction, at the office of Planning, Design & Development, Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma, 4702 S 19th Street, Tacoma WA 98405 until 10 a.m., November 17, 2016. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 10 a.m. Bids received after the appointed time set for receipt will be returned unopened. The project includes, but is not limited to: Replacement of an existing 56-ft long timber pedestrian bridge with new, premanufactured steel pedestrian bridge founded on new concrete abutments. Specific project tasks include demolition of an existing three-span timber pedestrian bridge and concrete abutments and saw cutting existing intermediate piers flush with grade. New construction includes CIP concrete abutments, setting of anchor bolts and procurement/placement of premanufactured steel truss pedestrian bridge which conforms to project contract drawings and specifications. Premanufactured bridge scope includes ornamental steel railing and coordination of attachment to main bridge structure. Project close out includes restoration of areas affected by construction to existing conditions or better The base bid estimate range is $180,000 – $220,000. Time of completion is 160 calendar days.
