REQUEST FOR BIDS METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT OF TACOMA Greenhouse Project at Tacoma Fefuse BID# J2015-15 BID NOTICE The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma will receive sealed bids for Bid# 2015-15, Greenhouse Facility Project at Tacoma Recovery & Transit Center , at the office of Planning, Design & Development, Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma, 4702 S 19th Street, Tacoma WA 98405 until 3 p.m., January, 20, 2016. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 4 p.m. Bids received after the appointed time set for receipt will be returned unopened. The project includes, but is not limited to: This project includes construction of a new greenhouse facility for Metro Parks Tacoma that will be located at Tacoma Refuse. The overall facility includes the following elements: a. A new pre-engineered greenhouse building. b. Foundation construction for a new pre-engineered modular office building. c. Construction of foundations and installation of associated utilities for the relocation of an existing warm frame structure from the current MPT greenhouse campus that is located near point defiance. d. Construction of foundations and installation of associated utilities for the relocation of an existing shade house structure from the current MPT greenhouse campus that is located near point defiance. e. Construction of foundations for a new chip / soil storage bunker. f. Site work and utility construction as required for the new facility. g. Relocation of an existing landfill gas system as required for the new facility. Prevailing Wage Rates and the Metro Parks Tacoma Apprenticeship Training Program requirements will apply. 123 apprentice hours are estimated for this project. The base bid estimate range is $1,200,000.00 – $1,600,00.00. Time of completion is 245 calendar days.
