The City Council is scheduled during its April 28 meeting to hold a public hearing on the 2009-2010 Annual Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development. Each year, the City receives federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) — including American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI), and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are to be used for housing community and economic development activities and for human services as spelled out in the Annual Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan. The hearing will be held at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St.
