Public Forum to Add Value to Planning and Permitting Process

Following the success of the first February event, the City of Tacoma’s Planning and Development Services Department is holding the second in a series of monthly interactive public forums that run through May 2017. This next forum will be held on Monday, March 13, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Gray Middle School (6229 S. Tyler St. in Tacoma).

These forums provide direct access for community members to meet staff and learn how the planning and development process works, what information is used and how the City manages the ongoing impacts from growth and development.

The March event will include an open forum on what to expect when applying for a permit, discussion on the One Tacoma: Comprehensive Plan and recommendations on how to make an impact on important development projects. The event will also include web training on the long range planning work program and how to get permit and development information in the hands of community members. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be an activity table for children.
