Whether you’re cheering for the Patriots or Panthers, the Tacoma-Pierce County DUI Task Force advises to plan on a sober way to get home Sunday if your celebrating includes drinking alcohol.

Law enforcement officers from Pierce County will be on special patrol during and after the game looking for impaired and unsafe drivers. Police agencies will be putting additional officers on the road.

Bonney Lake, Buckley, DuPont, Eatonville, Edgewood, Fife, Fircrest, Gig Harbor, Lakewood, Milton, Orting, Puyallup, Puyallup Tribal, Roy, Ruston, Steilacoom, Sumner, Tacoma, University Place and Wilkeson police departments will participate. They will be joined by deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, troopers from the Washington State Patrol and agents from the state Liquor Control Board. Military Police from Fort Lewis and Security Forces from McChord Air Force Base will conduct simultaneous patrols on their respective bases.
