National Night Out returns to Gig Harbor August 1st

New location on Harborview Drive for 2017

On Tuesday, August 1st, the community of Gig Harbor is invited to come together, along Harborview Drive in downtown Gig Harbor, and join thousands of communities gathering nationwide for National Night Out. This fun, free, community-wide event from 5pm to 9pm will include free food, military and law enforcement displays, the Home Depot Root Beer Garden and many other fun activities for the whole family. Please note: Harborview Drive will be closed from Pioneer Way to Rosedale Street beginning at 4pm through 9pm.

New this year, National Night Out will be hosted alongside Summer Sounds at Skansie, the popular and long running Tuesday night concert series at Skansie Brothers Park, located at 3207 Harborview Drive. The spotlight musical guest is Bobby Sox & the Jukebox, featuring an awesome fifties and sixties review. Live music will begin at 6:30pm.

National Night Out is a “Community-wide” block party designed to heighten crime prevention awareness and an enjoyable means to promote neighborhood spirit, build police-community partnerships and send a message to potential criminals letting them know we will not tolerate crime in our community.
