J.J. McCament, a Tacoma resident, has been appointed by Gov. Gary Locke to the Washington Board of Registration for Architects. McCament was appointed to fill the “public” position.

The position represents the public at large and cannot be filled by an architect or a person with a professional connection to an architect or firm.

She is currently a project manager in the economic development department of Tacoma.

McCament has 25 years of management, real estate development, land use, economic development and teaching experience.
