Mark your calendar for 5th Annual Harvest Pierce County Summit

Tacoma and Pierce County residents interested in learning more about their local community’s effort to connect with their food supply and each other are encouraged to attend the 5th Annual Harvest Pierce County Summit next month in Tacoma.

The family-friendly event includes activities for kids, lunch provided by Free Range Kitchen, and a range of classes on topics such as wild urban foraging, seed starting 101, building your own garden beds, and community-based barter.

The 5th Annual Harvest Pierce County Summit will be held on Sat., May 3, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at Gray Middle School, located at 6229 S. Tyler St., in Tacoma. The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to pre-register online here.

The event is a program of the Pierce Conservation District.
