Join KCTS 9 for a free preview screening of Ken Burns' new film The Vietnam War

KCTS 9 is presenting a free screening of Ken Burns’ The Vietnam War on August 24th at the Seattle Center Mural Ampitheatre. In conjunction with the film, KCTS is partner ing with the Seattle Center to present a Community Resource Fair, focusing on issues relevant to the film, which will take place in front of Seattle Center’s Mural Amphitheatre before the film from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Time: Community resource fair opens at 5:00 PM; Film starts at 8:00 PM

The event is free and open to the public, but RSVP’ing via the event’s Eventbrite page is highly encouraged; the website is https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ken-burns-the-vietnam-war-outdoor-screening-tickets-34639173701. Seating is based on a first-come, first-served basis. To create a comfortable and enjoyable experience, guests are encouraged to bring low back chairs, blankets, and food and beverages and picnic on the Mural Amphitheatre lawn.

About the film: In an immersive narrative, Ken Burns and Lynn Novick tell the epic story of the Vietnam War as it has never-before been told on film. The Vietnam War features testimony from nearly 100 witnesses, including many Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, as well as Vietnamese combatants and civilians from both the winning and losing sides. The Vietnam War premieres on KCTS 9 on Sunday, September 17th at 8:00 PM.
