John Korsmo Construction gets Harborstone contract

John Korsmo Construction has been awarded the contract to construct a new branch building for Harborstone Credit Union.

The new branch will be located at 4720 Center St. in Tacoma.

The Lakewood-based general contractor has built several other projects for Harborstone, including their Spanaway Branch and McChord Air Force branch.

John Korsmo Construction is also completing remodeling work this month at Harborstone’s Fife branch.

Construction of the Fircrest branch began July 14 and should be completed by November 3.

The wood and masonry/stucco building will be 5,120 square feet. Contract amount is $976,626.

The full-service branch will also feature three drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM and a walk-up ATM.

The project manager for John Korsmo Construction is Jeff Tiegs and the project superintendent is John Trumbly. The project architect is Gerald Litwin of Casey Group Architects located in Lakewood.
