IDmicro receives national award for Budget/SEATAC installation

“IDmicro, Inc., announced today that it has been awarded a Total Solution Provider Award by Business Solutions magazine for its e-Valet(tm) system installed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Budget Car and Truck Rental’s off-site parking facility. Business Solutions, a national magazine devoted to the Automated Data Capture (ADC) industry, presented the award at the Chicago Frontline Solutions Industry Tradeshow and Exposition held October 2-5. IDmicro received this award for its demonstrated wireless technology innovation used to solve challenges faced by Budget’s parking facility. Budget looks to use this new system to eliminate long customer lines, deliver faster customer service, and generate a more loyal customer base.Greg Stewart, president of IDmicro, views the national recognition as validation of the new software used for the system. We have worked incredibly hard to bring e-Valet and the Avera Visibility(tm) software package to completion and we’re thrilled to have Budget as our launch customer, Stewart said.Budget Car and Truck Rental is the first customer to use the e-Valet system developed exclusively by IDmicro. The system is a resource visibility solution using wireless smart chips to recognize personal tags attached to bags, purses or key chains at airport exit points. Acting as an application service provider (ASP), IDmicro’s software automatically delivers the customer information via the Internet to a computer terminal at Budget’s parking facility office. A courtesy van is then immediately dispatched for pickup while the customer’s car is readied and the bill prepared. Future versions of e-Valet will enable customers to be automatically billed for parking fees, further decreasing the time spent waiting in line.Budget and IDmicro have worked together to provide enhanced visibility of Budget’s customers. Trials of e-Valet indicated that Budget has increased the level of service to its customers and has made a giant step toward eliminating lines, missed customer pickups, wait times, and slow information transfer. The company also has increased visibility to their customer’s demographic information, and will use this information to generate new loyalty-based marketing programs.Darcy Zarelli, an e-Valet customer and hi-tech advocate has first-hand experience with the new system. I signed up for e-Valet before I left on my last trip., she said. Time is valuable to me and as a frequent traveler, I was excited to test it. It totally exceeded my expectation. My tag was automatically read as I approached the pickup area, the bus arrived a few minutes later and my car and bill were already waiting for me. I didn’t have to do anything. The new software and system has undergone an extensive customer trial period at Budget’s off-site parking facility located near SEATAC International Airport. The primary controller behind e-Valet is IDmicro’s Avera Visibility software, a new program that seamlessly integrates multiple manufacturer’s wireless smart chips into a common web-enabled operating environment. IDmicro will soon complete testing of e-Valet and officially launch the system nationwide.IDmicro, Inc. is a leading resource visibility company.
