Historic Old Town Tacoma candlelight walking tours Oct. 18

The first annual Candlelight Walking Tours of historic Old Town Tacoma will be held on Sat., Oct. 18 and presented by the Job Carr Cabin Museum and led by professional entertainers. The 45-minute tours will begin at 7 p.m. at the Job Carr Cabin Museum, located at 2350 North 30th Street in Old Town Park. The last tour will begin at 8:45 p.m.
“Walkers will get a feel for what life was like back in the mid-1800’s, and see where the first hotel, boarding houses, school, church, saloons and brothels were located — many of the buildings are still in existence today,” said Brad Cheney, President of the Museum’s Board of Directors, commented.

Cost for the tour is $12 for museum members and $15 for non-members; call (253) 627-5405 for tickets, reservations and group rates. Proceeds will benefit the Museum’s Education Program.
