Emerald City Writers’ Conference, Oct. 13-15 at Bellevue Westin

The Emerald City Writers Conference, an event for writers across all genres and career levels, features multi-genre workshops; pitch opportunities with literary agents, Big Five editors, and a film scout for Paramount and Universal; as well as networking opportunities.

The conference includes over forty workshops on subjects ranging from writers’ life, writing craft, business and numerous indie-author focused workshops. Sponsored by the Greater Seattle Romance Writers of America, the conference is craft-centric, rather than genre-specific. Limited spaces are available and pitches are assigned on a first come, first served basis so interested authors are encouraged to register soon.

Keynote speakers include best-selling authors Sarah MacLean, Rebecca Zanetti, and Darynda Jones. An add-on Master Class is offered on Friday, discussing the subject of writing dark heroes and villains. This session will be taught by a panel of experts including best-selling author Karen Rose, a retired federal agent, a former psychotherapist and retired law enforcement officers turned authors.
