County offering workshops on property affidavits

Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer Ken Madsen is offering free workshops that will help attendees learn how to complete personal property affidavits.
The workshops will provide:

* An understanding of the Washington state requirements for filing personal property affidavits;

* Step by step instructions on correctly completing the affidavit;

* Hands-on instruction how to “do it yourself”;

* Skills that will help accountants and bookkeepers learn how to do a better job for their clients;

* An understanding of how to arrive at a correct taxable value; and

* Information on how to estimate next year’s tax for budgeting purposes.

The dates of the workshops are Feb. 18 at 11 a.m., Feb. 25 at 11 a.m., March 13 at 2 p.m., March 25 at 11 a.m., April 1 at 11 a.m., April 10 at 2 p.m., April 16 at 9 a.m., April 17 at 2 p.m., April 23 at 9 a.m., and April 24 at 11 a.m.
All workshops will be held at the Pierce County Annex, 2401 S. 35th St., Tacoma.
