Submittals in response to an RFP or RFQ are recorded as received but are not typically opened and read aloud. After 1:00 p.m. the day of bid opening, the names of vendors submitting proposals are posted to the website for public viewing. Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at Tacoma Rail Main Conference Room, 2601 SR 509 North Frontage Road, Tacoma at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2015. Project Scope: This contract shall generally consist of removing old and worn 85# and 90# jointed rail, and installing approximately 2400 track feet of AREMA 115# jointed new domestic head hardened rail with concrete ties and other track materials (OTM). The contractor shall replace two #7 switches as part of this work.
