City of Tacoma Public Works, Facilities Management Division REQUEST FOR BIDS Specification No. PW16-0001F Tacoma Municipal Building, Council Chambers Improvements Submittal Deadline: 11:00 a.m., Pacific Time, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 Submittal Delivery: Sealed submittals will be received and time stamped at this location only: City of Tacoma Procurement and Payables Division, Tacoma Public Utilities- Administration Building North, Main Floor 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409 Submittal Opening: Sealed submittals in response to a RFB will be opened by a Purchasing representative and read aloud during a public bid opening held in Conference Room M-1, located on the main floor in the same building. After 1:00 p.m. the day of bid opening, preliminary submittal results and names of vendors submitting bids are posted to www.TacomaPurchasing.org for public viewing. Solicitation Documents: An electronic copy of the complete solicitation documents may be viewed and obtained at the City's plan distribution service provider, ARC, 632 Broadway, Tacoma, WA 98402, or by going to http://www.nwcontractorsnetwork.com. Prospective bidders will be required to pay reproduction costs. A list of vendors registered for this solicitation is also available at their website. Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at the Tacoma Municipal Building, located at 747 Market St., Tacoma, WA 98402, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, located on the 1st Floor. Project Scope: The project consists of an interior tenant improvement of an existing space. The work includes, but is not limited to interior framing and gypsum board installation, new interior finishes, casework, doors, frames and hardware, electrical and low voltage systems. Alternate bids for refurbishing existing auditorium seating.
