Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 747 Market Street in the Tacoma Municipal Building in Room "220-A/ Pantages" at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017, to answer questions regarding the Disadvantage Businesses Enterprise (DBE) requirements included in the contract. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Project Scope: This Contract provides for the pedestrian improvement in Hilltop and South Downtown areas of the City. Improvements will include curb ramps, bulbouts, crosswalks, accessible pedestrian systems, vehicle detection, or similar treatments/ amenities to improve pedestrian visibility, accessibility and safety as well as minor storm water system upgrades. Construction will occur along the South 21st Streets, South 19th Street and South 11th Street pedestrian corridors all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Estimate: Between $900,000 and $1,000,000 Paid Leave and Minimum Wage: Effective February 1, 2016, the City of Tacoma requires all employers to provide paid leave and minimum wages, as set forth in Title 18 of the Tacoma Municipal Code.
