After 1:00 p.m. the day of bid opening, preliminary submittal results and names of vendors submitting bids are posted to www.TacomaPurchasing.org for public viewing. Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 5402 North Winnifred Street, Tacoma, Washington 98402-3768 at 11:00 a.m. on APRIL 20, 2015. Project Scope: The Pt. Defiance Regional Treatment Retrofit Project is designed to improve the quality of stormwater discharged from to City's North Tacoma watershed. This project shall generally consist of constructing stormwater flow splitter system, conveyance, pretreatment system, concrete cascade pools, distribution troughs, high flow treatment cells, landscaping, and irrigation. Stockpiling approximately 22,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil on site and removing approximately 73,000 cubic yards of clean soil excavation, utility constructing approximately 1,150 linear feet of storm sewer and the replacement of an existing outfall with a 36-inch outfall. Small building demolition/removal including site utility removal, and abandonment. "It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids.".
