Hundreds of Puget Sound area residents celebrated the opening of the Soundview Trail in University Place May 5, discovering inspiring vistas of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The two-mile paved trail follows the north, west and south boundaries of the Chambers Bay Scottish links golf course and features steep climbs at the north and south connections to the Grandview Trail, which borders the golf course on the east. Most visitors to the site walked or jogged the trail, but some rode bicycles. Dog owners took advantage of the opportunity to give their pets a taste of world-class exercise.
