Calendar: The Coats kick off Sounds at Sunset concert series July 15

Sounds of live music will fill the air at Meridian Habitat Park (14422 Meridian Ave. E., Puyallup) every Friday in July from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The free summer concerts will feature a variety of local and regional musical styles that appeal to music lovers of all ages and tastes.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends for an evening of music and relaxation. Pack a picnic or enjoy the concessions of Hometown Dogs food truck and Taszty’s kettle corn and shaved ice.

The first concert in the series features a capella vocal band, The Coats (Kerry Dahlen, Doug Wisness, Jamie Dieveney, Keith Michael Anderson). The group formed in 1987 while the members were students at the University of Washington and have been performing throughout the western United States since.
