Tacoma City Council will begin the first of seven workshops next week to discuss the 2013-2104 proposed biennial budget. The first workshop will be held on Tues., Oct. 2, at 12 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St., and will include budget recommendations from Tacoma City Manager T. C. Broadnax. Subsequent budget workshops will allow councilmembers to be updated on the process and provide modifications. Budget workshops will be held on Tues., Oct. 9, at 12 p.m.; Thurs., Oct. 11, at 10 a.m.; Tues., Oct. 16, at 12 p.m.; Tues., Oct. 23, at 12 p.m.; Tues., Oct. 30, 12 p.m.; and Weds., Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. The workshops will be streamed at tvtacoma.com and broadcast live on TV Tacoma (Channel 12).
