Audition for the City of Tacoma’s Martin Luther King Jr. celebration

The Martin Luther King Jr. celebration committee will hold open auditions for the City of Tacoma’s 2009 Martin Luther King Jr. celebration on Sept. 20, Oct. 4 and Oct. 18.
This award-winning MLK celebration is an annual multicultural event that will be televised live from the Tacoma Dome.

The committee is seeking multicultural talent in the following areas: vocalists, choirs, dancers, recitals, cultural groups, spoken word, instrumentalists, master/mistress of ceremonies, dramatic interpretation, and instrumentals. All age and ethnic groups are strongly encouraged to audition.

All performers and performances are asked to follow the theme for the 2009 celebration, which is “Destined for Change.”
