ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 51ST STREET RETAINING WALL REPLACEMENT PROJECT Notice is hereby given that the City of Ruston, Washington does hereby invite sealed proposals for the 51st Street Retaining Wall Replacement Project as described and in accordance with the Bid Documents. Bid Documents will be available beginning Thursday March 30th, 2017. Free access to plans, specifications, addenda, and planholder list is provided to bidders, subcontractors, and material suppliers by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Ruston". This online plan room provides bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that bidders “register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda. Bidders who do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. The scope of work consists of the following (quantities are approximate): traffic control, erosion control, demolition of existing rock wall, excavation and export of existing soils, 1000 SF of precast concrete block retaining wall, 80 SY of cement concrete sidewalk, 150 LF of curb, 100 LF of wall back-drain pipe, 22 TN HMA paving, shoring, striping, and related work as specified in the bid documents. Estimated Bid Range: $75,000 to $115,000. This project includes a non-mandatory pre-bid walk-through for the purpose of inspecting the site before submitting a bid. The pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at 9:00 AM. Park at the location noted on the cover sheet of the Contract Drawings. Proposals for this work must be sealed, marked “CITY OF RUSTON – 51st STREET RETAINING WALL REPLACEMENT PROJECT”, and hand-delivered to the Mary Joyce Community Center located at 5219 N Shirley Street, Ruston, Washington State prior to 9:00 AM Tuesday April 25th, 2017, where and at which time the proposals will be opened and read aloud.
